In her role as Head of Experimental Design, Juliet leads on the development of Cowry’s data science propositions and the design of rigorous trials to test the effectiveness of our interventions.
Juliet has almost 10 years’ experience in applied behavioural science and a unique perspective from having previously worked both in a consultancy and in-house at a health insurer. Over the years, she has worked with global brands like Diageo, American Express, Cisco and Bupa.
She has a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Behavioural Economics and is working towards her PhD from the London School of Economics.
As a Behavioural Architect Manager at Cowry, Sam defines and runs our projects to tackle businesses’ behavioural challenges. He does this by analysing existing behaviours and contexts relevant to our clients, before designing practical behavioural solutions by translating and applying the research, insights and frameworks from behavioural science.
Sam has worked in behaviour change professionally for over 7 years. He started his career at PwC delivering organisational change in transformation, technology and cultural change programmes for national and international clients’ public and private sector clients.
He then pursued behavioural science more formally by completing a MSc Behavioural Science at the University of Stirling. Sam has since taken up a post as Honorary Lecturer at the university as part of a partnership with Cowry. He teaches on the application of behavioural science to organisations’ customer and colleague challenges.
Evina holds a BA in Social and Political Sciences and a MA in Business and Economics from Sciences Po Paris. She has a strong professional background in business, having acquired experience in a range of fields, such as human resources, brand marketing, and customer success, both in the context of large companies and startups.
Prior to joining Cowry, she held the position of Customer Success Manager at an e-commerce logistics startup, where she launched and built the foundations for the company’s customer experience initiative. Having always been intrigued by the human mind, Evina decided to take her social sciences knowledge a step further by developing expertise in behavioural science.
After completing two behavioural science boot camps she joined Cowry to put her knowledge into practice. Evina is passionate about combining business and behavioural science with the goal of contributing to the design of socially sustainable products and experiences.
Whilst completing his undergraduate degree in Economics and Management, Ash studied Buyer Behaviour which fuelled his desire to deepen his understanding of Behavioural Science.
Following this, Ash pursued a Masters in Behavioural Economics with his dissertation investigating how the presentation of gambling odds within the football betting market can nudge consumers into making poor decisions.
As a Senior Behavioural Architect at Cowry, Ash uses his knowledge of human behaviour to develop innovative and creative interventions that produce long-lasting behaviour change.
As part of Cowry’s Experimental Design Team, Chris is a Behavioural Scientist with 5 years experience in developing and delivering scientifically evidenced hypotheses, conducting various statistical experiments to rigorously evaluate initiatives, understand the value they provide and build compelling business cases. This includes techniques such as randomised controlled trials, A/B split testing, concept and user testing, regression discontinuities, multi-variate trial designs, and difference-in-difference analysis.
The breadth of his experience he brings is exemplified by prior work specialising in online-based optimisations using large volumes of behavioural data on behalf of organisations including Diabetes UK, Sue Ryder Hospice Care, and Breast Cancer Now. He was also heavily influential at Bremont Watch Company, aiming to better understand the behaviours and journeys of their niche customer base across a range of different touchpoints of high-end, luxury customer experiences. This experience focused on customer acquisition and retention, primary data collection, web analytics, cross-cultural studies, and attribution modelling to better evaluate both brand campaigns and new strategic partnerships across the organisation.
Always staying true to his roots, Chris uses his heightened logical, detailed-oriented, and data-minded approach refined through BSc Mathematics & Economics and MSc Behavioural Economics studies to harness important insights from a range of behavioural datasets, helping us keep true to our word and methods as applied scientists with great benefit to our clients.
Natalia is passionate about understanding the conscious and unconscious mechanisms behind human behaviour and developing solutions that contribute to a more just and amiable world. Following an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Natalia worked in consulting applying research in cognitive and affective neuroscience, social psychology, and anthropology to design tailored solutions for clients in the private and public sectors.
To continue her career in behavioural science, Natalia obtained a masters degree in Behaviour Change from UCL. She then worked for the UCL Centre for Behaviour Change supporting research projects that aimed to address gender-based violence and racism in real-world settings.
As the Lead Behavioural Research, Natalia manages all research at Cowry and aims to understand the interaction between System 1 and System 2 processes and how they influence consumer behaviour to feed behaviour change interventions.
Giorgia’s 20-year career revolves around change, helping clients to take an alternative perspective and leveraging behavioural insights for a more sustainable change. The resulting positive employee experience raises performance and long term profitability. She has worked with some of the world biggest brands and has a flair for cultural diversity, working and living in a handful of countries.
Giorgia has an MSc in Behavioural Science from the LSE and an MBA from the University of Bath. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Giorgia is an Associate at Cowry Consulting, supporting the team with her expertise in behavioural change and employee experience.
Mana earned her BA in Psychology from Cornell University where she co-conducted an online research study on the effects of social distancing on loneliness during COVID-19. She also worked in two psychology laboratories at university where she studied interpersonal interaction and political orientation behaviour.
Prior to joining Cowry, she interned at a behavioural consulting firm in Mumbai, India, where she analysed qualitative data and helped brainstorm creative interventions for a project based in rural India.
Mana uses her passion for behaviour architecture to redesign customer experiences for clients in financial services and retail, as well as keep up-to-date with the latest behavioural science research to inform interventions
Sarah has always been fascinated by human behaviour and has been studying psychology and decision-making for over ten years. As Consultant Director, it’s Sarah's job to utilise that passion for behavioural science and translate her knowledge and experience into practical business solutions that enhance both customer and employee experience.
Prior to joining Cowry, Sarah studied Psychology at the University of Birmingham, before obtaining a Masters Degree in Behaviour Change from UCL. She then worked for a market strategy & insight consultancy, primarily helping advance their application of behavioural science through research and training.
Apoorva holds a first-class Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of London. A creative at heart, she has worked with multiple not-for-profit organisations to create content and documentaries for their communication efforts.
Her time at the LSE Summer School introduced her to the world of behavioural economics, which eventually inspired her to pursue her Master’s in Behavioural & Data Science at the University of Warwick. With a strong interest in design, Apoorva focuses on using behavioural science principles to design intuitive as well as elegant products and experiences.
