Christian specialises in applying Behavioural Science to work in the fields of Risk, Compliance, Conduct and Ethics. He runs his own consultancy, Human Risk.
As a Cowry associate, Christian brings over 25 years of experience in Financial Services and Regulation to support behavioural insights projects in regulated industries.
Christian was formerly COO of the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), a subsidiary of the Bank of England responsible for Financial Services regulation. He was also Head of Department, International Banking Supervision at the PRA, and its predecessor the FSA. At UBS he was Head of Compliance & Operational Risk for UBS Asset Management and UBS EMEA
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and holds an MA in Modern Languages from Oxford University.
